TANKING SYSTEMS

A tanking system is a crucial component in waterproofing areas prone to water ingress, located on the ground level or below, such as basements and cellars. It typically consists of a waterproof membrane or coating applied to the walls and floors to prevent water from penetrating into the structure. Tanking systems are designed to withstand hydrostatic pressure and provide a durable barrier against moisture, ensuring that the interior remains dry and protected. These systems are essential for maintaining the structural integrity of the building and protecting it from water damage, dampness, and mould growth.

Bentonite Systems

The Bentonite system is a type of tanking system, which is a unique approach that utilizes the natural properties of bentonite clay to protect concrete structures from water damage and chemical exposure in the soil, without the use of adhesives and other harsh chemicals. This system creates a barrier between wet soil and the building foundation, preventing water penetration. Bentonite clay absorbs moisture and expands, filling cracks and gaps in the foundation to keep water out. This method is reliable and durable, especially useful in areas with high water tables or where traditional waterproofing is challenging.

Torch-on Tanking

The torch-on tanking system is a versatile and durable waterproofing solution commonly used in below-ground structures. It involves the application of a bitumen-based membrane that is heated with a torch to create a seamless, waterproof barrier. This system is known for its exceptional resistance to water ingress and its ability to withstand harsh environmental conditions. The torch-on tanking system is suitable for a wide range of applications, including basements, foundations, and underground structures, providing long-lasting protection against water damage.

Peel and Stick System

The peel and stick tanking system, also known as a self-adhesive membrane, is a convenient and effective waterproofing solution. The membrane features a self-adhesive backing that allows for easy installation directly onto the substrate without the need for heating or torching. This system is ideal for various applications, offering reliable waterproofing performance. The peel and stick system provides a seamless and durable barrier against water penetration, ensuring the integrity and longevity of the structure.
